Little buddy can't wait for Halloween because he's going to be "a pumpkin and jake the pirate"!!! Well...as of right now he's all set to be just a pirate, and maybe carve a pumpkin or two :-). Carsy started soccer class this month and (no joke) he is by far the best kicker on the field!! He even lifts the ball and does one-timers with the coach. #4 is going places! C also loved playing tennis, watching the Panthers and strolling through a cotton field! He also began preschool part-time and brought home some impressive artwork last week. He continues to make us laugh, whether its showing his ear-to-ear grins or having little conversations with himself or others. His sassy "Oh Yeah"s and ending his sentences with"...or something" make us crack up. He often corrects us if we make a mistake, like Grandpa called the horse they saw a few days earlier Jack Rabbit, but Carson was sure to tell him "No wapa, his name was Cracker Jack". But likely the funniest moment of the month was after he went potty during the night, seeing his entire pj outfit on inside-out when I woke him up in the morning. He's quite a character and the upcoming weeks/months should be alot of fun, with Eric/Monica coming to visit and Thanksgiving and Christmas!

You're the Boss
Little Carson Gardner is having quite a summer...including trips to the beach, museum and boating on the lake. He met his cousin Carolyn when she stepped off the Megabus. He's a character and says 'bless you' when someone sneezes and 'you're the boss' when we ask him to do something. Carsy quotes from this past month include "You spilled cereal...you have to be more careful nana"..."That's the coffe store, coffee lives there"..."My hands are very tall I can reach the plane"..."I want Fresh Beat Band, that's all!" He pretended that Mickey in his carseat said: "buckle me up Carson Gardner". The doctor said Carsy is growing well and knew all his shapes on the vision chart, except for the American Flag! But he has since learned it. Little C ran wild at the beach chasing seagulls all day! He was happy at a photoshoot and still loves puzzles! love you C

Your Favorite
Carsy is a very outgoing boy. Recently he went to a Hurricanes game and at the sound of the drum, chanted "Let's go Canes!" Carson tells everyone he's "two and a half and three in May". He's a puzzle whiz and likes everyone to close their eyes until he reveals the finished product... "Ok open your eyes,...it's a...school bus!...it's your favorite???" There isn't a sport he won't play, soccer, hockey, tennis, basketball, baseball... his lefty soccer kick is really really something. He can order in restaurants; usually pasta and ice cream. He often sings to himself, sometimes the Alvin chipmunks Xmas song or the months-of-the-year song. He very rarely gets into mischief, but when we ask him if he's cooperating he'll say "yes i am operating". He might be a news anchor one day because he loves to tell detailed stories about what he did the day before, like how he saw the Dr.Seuss movie. Can't wait to see what you try next buddy!

Mr.Social
Carson is a friendly boy..he always asks other kids 'what your name?' or 'what your dog's name?' Carson was very nice to TJ on his birthday feb.11. His vocabulary is amazing, he will say things like: 'I hurt myself', 'That a nice man isn't it', 'Ok sure', 'Here I come!' and 'Take shortcut?'. He really has a mind of his own and wants to make his own decisions: 'No it's not too hot', 'No it's not bedtime', 'No not little bites' and he always laughs afterwards. He thinks it's a funny game to say down when you say up! Carson loves the angry birds game and watching the Backyardigans and Pound Puppies in the morning when he wakes up. And his favorite toy this week was a green balloon!!!!

Surprise
Carsy was in his element this Christmas, even though he started out with the sniffles...he loved opening 'more' and more presents! He attended several Christmas parties and sang songs like Frosty the Snowman and Santa Claus is Coming to Town. He helped decorate the tree and a gingerbread house, and admired all the blow up holiday characters around town, including the moving reindeer. He played outside with his family and went to a Hurricanes game and saw Stormy. He said funny things like "where my eyes go?" when his hat slid down, "who's back there?" when he hears someone walking fast behind him and "right there on there" when he really wants to point out something like a squirrel. He loves 'surprise's and playing 'lil ipaddy'. 2011 was a great year for Carsy... love you buddy!

HO HO HO
Little Carson Boyd had a busy week! He met with Mr. Santa Clause who said HO HO HO, and asked Santa for stickers for Christmas! Carsy also cheered ‘First…DOWN!’ and ‘get him’ at a wolfpack game, and loved the Disney-on-Ice show. He can pick out all colors in the ‘I spy little eye’ game, as he calls it. He’s funny at the sticker store at the checkout as he says ‘Pay it lady?’. After he learns that he can pick out 1 sticker book, he says ‘how bout 2 stickers?’…and we end up leaving with about 12 books. Other funny exchanges are when C finds out it’s bed time and he says ‘how bout kick ball?’, and when it’s time to leave the park: ‘how bout NO’. Other Carsyisms are ‘ada..Hello Carsy’ when he’s imitating the scary masked hockey man in his deep voice, ‘want some cheese?’ when he’s hungry, ‘doctor do bandaid on it?’ if someone gets hurt, and ‘doggy comin, HOLD YOU?’ when he wants to be picked up. Carson loves turning the xmas tree lights on and off and spotting the Charlie Brown ornament. A potty conversation goes like this: ‘Did you peepee in the potty buddy?’, C: ‘Yeah’, ‘You did buddy!?’, C: ‘Yes, I did!’. He’s such a sports fanatic and loves to ‘kick ball up higher!’.

Watch this
Carsy is at the "watch this" stage...he's a little performer...everything from singing humpty dumpty and ba-ba-black-sheep, to jumping and imitating the grown-ups. He really is starting to use the potty well...even asks to go use it. Carson can spell his own name, count to 13+ and talk on the phone! He was a halloween puppy this year and likes to imitate a puppy. His vocabulary is amazing and he is a sticker fanatic!!!!! He laughs when grandpa does the 'monster coming' routine. He attended his first hockey game and saw Stormy! He can sing 'let's go Canes'. What a good boy!
